How to: Fix Windows 7 Logon that does not Display all Users

When I got home my brother started complaining about how he can’t resolve the logon display issue on our home PC. It took me a week to finally have time to take a look at it. Well it turns out to be a nasty problem that just won’t budge. I like it though, it challenges me and it wakes my curiosity and challenges me (this bit is tricky, because if it’s too much challenge my laziness will kick in).

Issue: When you get to the login screen what you only see is one user account (with the avatar and name) and another box that says Other User even if you have 3 other user accounts instead of all of your user accounts. You can still logon to the other accounts by clicking on Other User and manually typing the username and the password.

Windows 8 is here, almost! The latest Operating System from Microsoft is now available for pre order, the wait is almost over. The upgrade price for the pre order is $69.99 USD and it is available at select stores like Microsoft Store, Amazon and Staples.
I applaud Microsoft for their commitment on preserving our environment, hurray! Your Windows 8 packages will be coming in paper-based materials, which makes it weight 40% less. They have reduced green house and gas emissions and fossil fuel consumption by a whopping 80%! Good move Microsoft.
If you want to wait out, until October 26 though, you may get a better deal. You can get the online upgrade version for $39.99 USD. Windows 8 Pro supports 140 countries, is available on 37 languages and can be processed on 23 currencies.
Starting today, you can also start placing your orders for Windows 8 devices from Microsoft's OEM partners like Dell, HP and Acer.
Like all good things, it ends. This promo will only last until January 31st, 2013. So get them while they're hot!

How to: Show the Menu Bar

Does your browser, Windows Explorer or other software lack the usual Menu Bar? Then this post is for you. I have been working on computers for over four years now and experience tells me that a lot of people has this dilemma. They do not know how to get it to show up, and in turn, affects their productivity.

Ill be showing you the easiest way to get your Menu Bar.  And when I say, easiest, I mean the easiest.
With Windows Explorer(or Computer, or whatever name you are accustomed to), you just have to click on Organize then click on Layout and then click on the Menu bar to check it so it will show every time you open Windows Explorer.

Technician, not a Programmer

Many of you may not be aware, but I'm actually a technician. I studied Information Technology in college which majored in Programming. Needless to say, I sucked at coding(which is the heart of the programming) to be exact. In college when we're making projects, I always volunteer to do the non-coding stuff (i.e.: flowcharts, some database designing, documentation, printing, buying food, making coffee and other errands) which didn't help to improve my coding skills at all. So even before we graduated, I already knew that I wasn't destined to be a programmer. Lucky for me, on my first job, I got to work for one of the biggest software giants. I started with the non-technical department but I got a glimpse of how huge the company is and how I only knew a tenth of the products and services that they have. Then another lucky opportunity came, I was accepted to the technical part and the best part? NO CODING!!! *thumbs up* I still struggled since I’ve never really been technical, I started with virtually zero technical knowledge, I was your average 20-something who knows stuff because I tinker around them. Fast forward four years later, I’m still here (on my first job, technically) and I learned a thing or two and I'd like to think I'm no longer your average computer user.

I’ll be sharing a few stuff and hopefully, it’ll be useful. If you happen to read by, drop some comments or suggestions, maybe I can make a blog about that.
