After Windows 7, the much anticipated Windows 8 will finally be release this month!
This Operating System is primarily designed for tablet computers and other touch devices. I've seen the Developer Preview and the Consumer Preview and boy, this is a whole new OS! Windows 7's success is a huge one and Windows 8 has huge shoes to fill. I wont be discussing this baby's ins and outs, all I can say is that BIG BIG BIG changes are in store for you.

Pre-Order for Windows 8, now open!

Windows 8 is here, almost! The latest Operating System from Microsoft is now available for pre order, the wait is almost over. The upgrade price for the pre order is $69.99 USD and it is available at select stores like Microsoft Store, Amazon and Staples.
I applaud Microsoft for their commitment on preserving our environment, hurray! Your Windows 8 packages will be coming in paper-based materials, which makes it weight 40% less. They have reduced green house and gas emissions and fossil fuel consumption by a whopping 80%! Good move Microsoft.
If you want to wait out, until October 26 though, you may get a better deal. You can get the online upgrade version for $39.99 USD. Windows 8 Pro supports 140 countries, is available on 37 languages and can be processed on 23 currencies.
Starting today, you can also start placing your orders for Windows 8 devices from Microsoft's OEM partners like Dell, HP and Acer.
Like all good things, it ends. This promo will only last until January 31st, 2013. So get them while they're hot!

iOS 6, what have you?

I hate seeing alerts on my screen, be it on my mobile device to my PC at the office. That's why I religiously read emails, turn off meeting alerts and update anything offered on my mobile just to get rid of those pesky alerts! And so I have ios 6 now. Be it known that, that is the only reason I updated my OS. Well there isn't much difference so far, seeing that we don't use maps (and I heard, they were sooo bad, that the CEO himself recommended their rival's maps, tsk tsk) here and I don't have Siri. The only difference that I can see is the integration of Facebook and Twitter. Not much of a difference for me since I have those apps already. The only good side I can think of is the enhanced permissions notification. You get alerts every time an app accesses information from your device, so you are better informed about what info will be given used. If you're using the "tuli" version, I suggest skipping this one, too much hassle for very little difference.
