My friend Gang, told me about this ombre nails
thing and how it's done. Omre's all the rage in fashion now, from clothes to
hair and now to my nails! I immediately fell in love with it when I looked at
pictures of it online and I wanted to try it right away, and of course I did it
myself. I was lacking some major stuff so I had to wait a few days until I got
my hands on them plus I was also growing my nails for a bigger canvass. I had
several go’s before it looked presentable. I had fun doing this, and I'm definitely
trying this out again!
First off, you need
the following
Sponge, the grainier
the texture the better
Two nail polish of
different shades (you can go for similar shades if you want the subtle gradient
effect). I went with Caronia's First Crush and Baby Pink)
Clear nail polish
Some qtips and nail
polish remover to clean off the mess
So here's what I did:
First, you have to apply the base color on your nails. Just apply the nail polish as usual and let it dry. Once it's dry then proceed to step two.
I took a portion of the sponge(a rougher sponge would really be better) and put some nail polish on it.

Then you pat the piece of sponge on the upper half of your nails. The upper half will not be so pretty yet, it'll look texturized and still rough, don’t worry about that.
Apply the clear nail polish so the roughness will be gone and everything should be pretty and glossy by now. Except for the sides, this is where you need your qtips with your nail polish remover to clean it up.
AND tadaaah, this is my best attempt at ombre nails so far!
