Roadtrip: Mantayupan Falls

Malos suddenly shouted: Roadtrip ta mag motor! And it happened. The destination: Mantayupan Falls.

There were 4 motorcycles and 1 car for all12 of us. The trip started in Malos’ house in Talisay. We geared up and rode as the day broke and it was still cold. The trip going there had been smooth with less traffic since it was early Friday morning. It was over an hour’s drive excluding the stops to Carcar to buy food and some buhisbuhay photo ops.
Excited, giggling gilrs!

Lunch was the delicious lechon and puso we got from Carcar
I am a huge fan of trees, and clouds and Mother Nature in general and among all the highways I've traveled on, Carcar has one of the most charming old trees right along the highway. They were so old and tall that they've already overlapped each other in the other side, giving the road that cool, fresh shade. Being in a motorbike gives me more open space to gawk at them – I enjoyed it too much I wasn't able to take proper pictures. We also passed by perfectly shaped dwarf Mango trees bursting with flowers, ready to bear fruits.
Mantayupan falls is 200-ft beauty located in Barili. It is now more accessible because the roads had been improved and they have put up stairs too. The old dirt path was not so easy to climb.
The water was cold but very refreshing.
The pool's floor was very uneven with rocks big and small scattered everywhere.
We made a quick stop at the Milk Station for Ice Cream and, well, milk. It was very crowded because a huge group of bikers were there.
The whole trip was so much fun and I went home with a numb butt but absolutely happy.
